We are looking for a Client Director who understands that great creative work and strong business results are not a trade-off. Someone who is equally at home advising the C-suite on brand strategy as sitting in a creative review, pushing the work to be better.

About the role

As Client Director at Stendahls, you take the lead on some of our most important client relationships. You are the person clients call when things are complex, when the brief is unclear, or when the stakes are high. You bring clarity, creative ambition and commercial sharpness in equal measure.

You move comfortably between global, complex organisations with long stakeholder chains and ambitious local Swedish brands that need to punch above their weight. You know how to read the room, adapt your approach and still deliver work that stands out.

You work closely with strategists, creatives and project managers. You drive the brief, defend the work and make sure every project delivers both creative quality and measurable business value. This is not a role for someone who wants to maintain. It is a role for someone who wants to build.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop strategic client relationships at senior level, across both global accounts and Swedish brands

  • Own revenue and profitability across your portfolio, with full P&L responsibility for your accounts

  • Advise clients at a high strategic level on brand positioning, marketing strategy and business challenges

  • Scope and price projects accurately, with a strong understanding of what work takes, what the market bears and who competes for the same briefs

  • Collaborate with creatives and strategists to ensure quality and relevance in every delivery

  • Spot opportunities before they become formal briefs and grow accounts organically

  • Represent Stendahls externally and contribute to the agency's positioning and reputation

  • Facilitate collaboration with iO's broader network of specialists when relevant

Who you are

You have solid experience in a senior client-facing role, ideally at a creative, communications or brand strategy agency. You are comfortable advising at the highest level and can hold your own alongside senior strategists from international agencies.

You understand complex organisations from the inside – competing priorities, multiple stakeholders, the gap between what a company is and how it communicates. You have navigated this before and know how to move things forward.

You are commercially sharp. You know how to scope a project, price it fairly and manage profitability without compromising quality. You have an eye for the opportunity that others miss.

You are curious about where the industry is heading – new technology, new ways of working, changing client expectations. You follow this closely, because it shapes how you advise.

You communicate clearly and confidently in English. A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field is preferred.
